兽医金惠婷（林夏薇饰）信科学、做事讲规矩，与诊所众人格格不入，与邻居汪声仁（周嘉洛饰）更是冤家。仁是动物读心师，诊治宠物全靠揣摩主人心理。在婷眼中，仁的诊治手法是“呃神骗鬼”，而在仁眼中，婷则是个不懂变通的人，且身为兽医竟管不好自己的“毛孩”，二人因而产生嫌隙。 仁因一次意外，竟然可与“毛孩”冬甩以人类的语言沟通。冬甩每遇困难都会向仁求助，而仁在诊症时，冬甩都会协助仁与动物沟通，一人一狗逐渐发展出真挚友谊。仁透过冬甩，开始了解刚强的婷有颗脆弱的内心。 此时，婷的父亲金青松（姜大卫饰）突然回港，松知悉婷因曾受情伤而无法再闯情关，于是决定帮女儿在仁及其他追求者之间作出选择。冬甩面对好友仁有机会成为自己的新主人，既高兴又迷惘，施展浑身解数帮忙，却令仁惹上官非……到底冬甩如何相助仁？仁和冬甩之间的神奇沟通技能能否力挽狂澜？抑或凭藉人类的真心诚意，才是化解危机的灵丹妙药？
